River Eden

River Eden (Kirkby Stephen Anglers)

Kirkby Stephen and District Angling Association controls some 9 miles of fishing on the River Eden with a further 4 miles on the River Belah and Scandal Beck. No stocking is carried out and all these waters offer fly fishing for wild brown trout amid beautiful scenery.

WADAA have corporate tickets on the River Eden at Kirkby Stephen. This gives WADAA 2 tickets per day to allocate to our members allowing them to fish all of the Kirkby Stephen water, which is detailed on their website. These will be available from the 15th of March. The tickets must be requested via email (using Kirkby Stephen as the subject) 36 hours in advanced and confirmed by the Association Officer. Your ticket will then be sent to you, this must be carried on the Kirkby Stephen waters at all times, along with your WADAA permit.

When fishing as a guest on our partner waters such as this. All WADAA members must:

  • Familiarise themselves with all rules and codes of conduct for the relevant club.
  • Carry their WADAA permit and their visitor permit at all times (these must be presented to all officials on request).
  • River beat limits must be adhered too, these can be found on their clubs website
