AGM 2019 Notice

70th AGM – WADAA Ltd – ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 To all Officers and Members, the Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held at  

Cross Keys,1 Park Road, Milnthorpe LA7 7AB on Wednesday, 11th of December 2019, commencing at 7.30pm 

If you would like to get an update on what has happened to WADAA during 2019 and information first hand about what is happening in 2020, then come along to the AGM, the Board would be pleased to see you. 

David Blacow will be standing down from his role as WADAA Chairman at the AGM. David took on the role at the beginning of 2018 at a time when the Club was in transition. He always made it clear that this would be a short-term appointment, until such time that a new Chairman could be found to move the Club forward. David will be happy to work alongside a new Chairman in 2020 to help out and ensure a smooth handover. He will also continue to be on the Board of Directors. 

We would, therefore, like to hear from any of our members who would consider putting themselves forward for the Chairman’s role, or in the first instance to join our Board. The Club has made great strides in 2019 (come to the AGM to find out more) and plans further improvements in 2020. It should be an interesting time to get involved and it is vital that we bring in ‘new blood’…to add to some of the ‘old blood’, if we are to survive and thrive. Please don’t leave it to others to do all the work – we need to constantly refresh our team. 

At the end of the meeting, there will be a questions and answers session for anyone who would like to stay and ask the board any questions.
