Windermere, Ambleside and District Angling Association (WADAA Ltd)

At WADAA there is superb fishing for the fly angler on our five main trout fisheries, Bigland, Capernwray, Farletonview, Ghyll Head and High Newton. These waters are well stocked throughout the season and offer the consistent year-round sport. In addition, the club offers top-quality still water fishing on a more natural water at High Fairbanks that will appeal to members looking for quieter venues.

Coarse anglers too are well catered for with some excellent fishing. The club stocks and manages four small tarns, Castlehead, Cleabarrow, and Ratherheath which hold some sizeable carp together with big tench, bream, roach, perch, rudd, and eels. For 2022 we can offer fishing on a new very special water Skelsmergh. Pike fishing is also high on our members’ agenda with pike in excess of twenty pounds regularly taken from Grasmere and Rydal water.

The club welcomes younger anglers who can join their own junior section.  Further information on all our fisheries, facilities, day tickets and membership can be found on this website but if you need any help at all please don’t hesitate to contact us.
